HOMEOPATHY IS AN EVIDENCE-BASED SCIENCE
MV Celso Affonso M. Pedrini
If we seek on the internet, for example, the map of Brazil. We'll find the geopolitical map, the road map, the map of the watershed, the forestry map. The Brazilian territory is the same, but the way we interpret is different. We can see their States and municipalities, or its highway network, or your aquifer system, or, still, its vegetation. It is logical that the map is not the territory of Brazil, he only symbolizes and represents its States and municipalities, its roads, its rivers and its vegetation.
The famous "Kuhn's paradigm" is based precisely in that. Paradigm is the model, the standard. The philosopher Thomas Kuhn has compared paradigm to a map or a lens. So, if we use another map or another lens, we will produce a different configuration of reality. Originating, consequently, another science. An object, a phenomenon or a living being is the same! The way how we will see it, understand it and interpret it is that will be different, depending on the paradigm used.
For example, a canine allergic, presenting a picture of atopic dermatitis. Classical Veterinary medicine , which is based in Cartesian mechanistic paradigm, will approach it according to this materialistic vision, looking ultimately, its biochemical and cellular changes. In this way, the therapeutic employed agree with this model.
However, we can interpret this same patient of another way. How, for example, presenting a disturbance in your vital force, which will be manifested by symptoms, if we employ the vitalist model, which was used by Samuel Hahnemann to structure and develop the therapeutic system which uses the principle of similarity. Or we can see this patient presenting a disturbance in its self-regulation, generating an instability in your system, if we are based in a systemic vision. Or we can also realize this same patient presenting an oscillating electromagnetic field in a pathological frequency, if we use the principle of Biorressonância therapy.
Note that the patient is the same, but the way we approach it, understand it and interpret it is different. The conception of health and disease that we use, will serve as a basis for the established treatment. We always find what we seek. The answer will depend on our question.
The practice and research demonstrate that homeopathy can be a highly effective therapeutic system. I work with Homeopathy since 1992, when I started my specialization course. And I confirmed, in practice, the excellent results provided by the homeopathic treatment in dogs and cats. Fact corroborated by clinical research that I conducted for 8 years, with a high degree of effectiveness, in which 96% of patients canines and felines, carriers of chronic frames (including behaviour disorders), who were treated by Homeopathy and accompanied by more than 6 months, presented significant improvements in symptoms related to their initial condition (that is, how much to diagnosis related to the main complaint) and also had significant improvements in their quality of life, according the methodology employed (I used an own methodology, that I am developing and improving for more than two decades) and the proposed assessment parameters.
Note the importance of this research, because it demonstrates, categorically, that the action of the homeopathic medicine cannot occur by the placebo effect, since patients were canines and felines, that would not be susceptible to a psychological influence in their expectation of improvement.
Therefore, Homeopathy is a phenomenological science, based on evidence. In which the phenomenon, that is, the improvement and up until the cure of the patient, occurs, it is true, it is an indisputable fact! Regardless of which is the theoretical explanation for the action of homeopathic medicine.
However, the Cartesian mechanistic paradigm, in which is reasoned the classical medical science, it does not have conditions to explain the Homeopathy and the mode of action of the homeopathic medicines.
Thus, Homeopathy is an evidence-based science, which requires another model, another map, another lens, that is, another paradigm to explain it adequately.
